Shopping for your July 4th BBQ? Remember that 62,000 union workers at Albertsons, Ralphs and Vons have been without a contract for the past three months and are inching closer to a strike each day. The issue: these chains want to shift rising health-care costs to their employees, increases that could total more than $10,000 a year or up to 50 percent of grocery workers take-home pay. This is unacceptable. Stand strong with your Union brothers and sisters. This 4th of July, support good middle-class jobs. It’s your patriotic duty.
