HAT'S OFF TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S GROCERY WORKERS: OUR HEROES

To everyone’s delight, union grocery workers and Ralphs, Albertsons and Vons/Pavilions huddled down in marathon sessions recently and finally came to an agreement that avoided a long-dreaded strike in the region. Workers got their health care and the stores can keep their doors open. Now that union members ratified the contract last week, everyone is back at work and 62,000 good middle class jobs were saved. With the long-simmering labor unrest over, it’s time to once again support these union stores. Shop Union. Shop Proud.
